Dance like Everyone’s Watching: A Film by 55/Redefined featuring Ben Miller

With this film we set out to bring attention to ageism while challenging stereotypes about age and championing age diversity.

Dance Like Everyone's Watching, featuring British actor Ben Miller, is a celebration of life at 55 and beyond.

Despite the common misconceptions and clichéd images, this is the most dynamic stage of life. With this film we set out to bring attention to this, while challenging stereotypes about age and championing age diversity.

What is 'Dance Like Everyone’s Watching'?

Dance Like Everyone’s Watching is a film. A poem of optimism. A story of hope.

A rallying cry for over-55s to grab hold of new opportunities and make the lifestyle changes they’ve always dreamed of, the film’s spoken word is a cheekily raised middle finger to harmful stereotypes and negative myths around ageing.

Miller, 55, playfully calls on people 55 and over to ignore the old adage of growing old – ‘now is your time to walk in the sun'. The film challenges people to consider and push against ageism they face to embrace their dynamic stage and chase all and any dreams - ‘I’m here to remind you there’s a big wide world out there.’ It asks us to look at our own, and society’s, harmful preconceptions about age, and how we need to move our thinking forward.

The film’s message resonated strongly with 55-year-old film and TV star, Ben Miller

Talking About His Involvement, Ben Miller Said:

“55/Redefined is exactly what we all need: a new way of thinking about the later stages of life. Personally, I’m not ready for my pipe and slippers, unless it’s a chillum and some Moroccan babouches.

“What I do want is adventure, excitement, and the company of some like-minded people; Life/Redefined has all that and so much more.”
